Gap between bumper and hood on '83 280ZX?

Gap between bumper and hood on '83 280ZX?
Hi, guys. All apologies--newbie here.
I'm thinking of entering the Z universe, and I'm looking at an '83 NA. I haven't seen the car in person yet, but, in some photos, I'm seeing a rather large gap between the front bumper and the hood. Has anyone seen this before? What causes it? Is it a problem? Can it be fixed? If so, how?
I'd appreciate any help.

Welcome to ZDriver!
That's a normal gap, but from the factory there's a rubber strip on the front edge of the hood to bumper. I yanked it off and never looked back.
