1979 280zx mud flaps lowered
1979 280zx mud flaps lowered
So this time I will post in the right place (sorry)
My 79 280zx is lowered roughly 1.5-2 inches and I was wondering are there any rigid or flexible (prefer flexible) mud flaps out there that won't scrape/break on speed bumps etc. I found some Sparco universals and I just want some opinions before I buy something. URLs needed. I can provide measurements if needed thanks
here are the sparcos

why so attached to buying? I believe the aftermarket support dropped off for the 280zx about 1988, and shriveled up to what it is today, a handful of scattered suppliers. And you are looking for an aftermarket part for a modified car. Welcome to the world of cars and the z. So here is a bit of advice. Learn to improvise. Get up and walk away from the screen. Cut off a mudflap off the nearest heavy truck. Its the big black rubber square hanging behind the wheels on the rear. Now make that into mudflaps. Supplies for creation and installation- razor blade, and a pointy rigid object, and attaching hardware of choice. The process- Cut the desired material to shape. Poke holes at attachment points. Use hardware to attach. You can do it! Send us a pic! Dont cut your yourself. Think safety and cut away from yourself. Send us an update with a pic when you are done, I think it would look great on a lowered 280zx. And you can just as easily modify existing 280zx mudflaps to fit. Good luck.
Imo, I'd only get those sparco flaps if they were black, and didn't have "Sparco" in huge lettering.
