280z lowered

I want to lower my 280z but I don't want to drop it too much cause i heard it's bad what's a reasonable amount to drop it ?

Most lowering springs drop your car about 1 inch, to get anything other than that requires coil-overs, which then you can adjust your ride height to what ever you like.
