Universal Joints "Clinking"
Hey guys, im just getting my Z Prepped for Winter in canada, and when i was backing it into its garage spot, i noticed ther was a "clink" when switch from 1st, to Reverse (after i engage the clutch). It sounds like a Universal Joint maybe a bit loose, i was wondering if anyone knew any bolt on replacements that are tougher then OEM/NOS parts? And if i'm going to replace one Joint i might aswell replace them all, so if anyone knows of any kits for the full drive-shaft rebuild, that would be cool too.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Universal Joints "Clinking"
Hi Creator,
I have recently had this problem on my '75 280z. Unfortunally for me the '75 through '78 Z's driveshafts were built with crimped in u-joints. I replaced my original drivshaft with a replacement from MotorSport Auto for around $225 that has replaceable u-joints.
But, you're in luck! You're 260z should have replaceable u-joints. MSA has them and I don't think they're very expensive. I believe they sell the Spicer brand.
