Took my Z to Rebello Racing today...

Just wanted to chat about tuning and the possibility of rebulding my motor to a stroker, or purchasing one that is already built. Dave Rebello looked at my car and noticed that it was running rough (I thought it was my cam and headers). Turns out the backing plate on my air filter was blocking the air hole on my carbs. I swapped it around, and he fiddled with the timing and mixture, and sent me to test drive. Holy crap! I smoked the tires from a dead stop, and caught a scratch in second. That is a big improvement to the anemic off-the-line performance I had previously.

So, putting out my .02 that the guys at Rebello are cool. Now I just have to find some cash to either build or buy a Rebello stroker.

sounds like a good lesson in the difference between a "lopey" idle and a misfire! glad you got an improvement. that's always fun

No doubt. Nobody ever accused them of being inexpensive, but an additional 100HP would be nice!

That is some good business practice right there. Give you a bit of free tuning on the fly. Now your car is running amazing, now you're only going to be thinking about how much more awesome a full built motor would be from them. Were all the tuning is tested and better worked out, etc. This man knows how to run a business.
