I have a 1973 240z with a vinynl top that I pulled off recently to find quiet a bit of rust underneth.I sanded off alot of the rust but there are small holes where the metal was week and it is pit in other arears what can I do without having to cut off the top.

don't cut it!
Go to eastwoodco.com they have products to solve you problem. It takes several steps but it might work. I just bought some stuff from them but I havn't tried it yet. Good luck.
