Rebuilding '81 280zx turbo motor...
Ok, like the subject says, we are going to rebuild the motor out of my old Z to put in my new Z (83 280zx turbo)
What are some good things to have the mechanic do to it to make it faster than stock?
Balance and Blueprint? Port and Polish? Are those really worth the money?
Thanks in advance

fix whatever is wrong.....put in forged pistons and good rings..the rods crank are tough...heads?..depends on what head you have....prbly p90 or p90a...the "a" is "prbly" hydraulic....not good over 300hp or w/high sustained rpms....
(but 300hp is a hell of a lot in one of these things)..w/a p90(no "a") and forged pistons "good" set-up much more....s
