Really need help guys

so i have a 73 240z, i dont have power to the blower motor. I realize that the red lead connects to the blue bullet connector and goes to a inline fuse then to the passenger kick panel harness all blue wires. What connects to it is obviously type of relay i assume. Im thinking about just wiring one in and calling it a day. Can someone juat steer me in the direction? I cant find much on the fsm.

The FSM for your car isn't as much help as the later model FSM's. The later FSMs detail out specific circuits (such as the blower control) that the 73 FSM doesn't have. Try looking at the 74 260Z FSM for clues. It likely won't be exactly the same but may be close.

Now, according to the 73 FSM and Haynes schematics, the accessory relay must be engaged for the blower to work. The relay is not part of your blower circuit according to the Chilton schematic. Go figure. I'd go with the FSM and Haynes information.

The ignition switch position determines whether you have +12V to the accessory relay coil or not.

When the relay is engaged, it switches +12v directly from the shunt side of the battery (thick white wire with red stripe - WR), hence the need for an inline fuse) to your blower motor. The WR wire changes to blue (L) after the fuse.

Not sure what you mean by "just wire one in". If you don't have the relay now, someone's messed with car as the same relay is part of your fuel pump circuitry.

If you do have the relay, start following wires and voltages.

Good Luck!
