ok so now I have the car...
ok so now I have the car...
I have the car now,
sounds great! runs pretty good needs a tune up and a water pump for the motor and thats it.... which the guy included with the car
the interior is amazing, smooth dash, amazing seats, new carpet
I found out that the heater is by passed.... so how hard would it be to change a heater core?
yes there is a dash cover.... I dont care because I would have bought one anyways
I beleive the locks over seized on the doors...
no radio.... but I have one so it's all good
and one frame rail has a small rust hole... I can fix that
all in all I'm super happy with my new car, just a little bit of fixing
now here is the story of the trip home
I live right over the boarder (SC) under Charlotte NC, so me and a friend drove 5+ hours to pick her up. The trip was fine. when I got there I test drove, looked over, and paid the man. well we stoped by Auto zone for some 50/50 coolant just in case. My buddies truck over heated big time in the lot. turns out he blew his head gasket and a little plate on the side of his motor. we fixed the plate and added coolant. after an hour on the road a cop pulled me over for dim tail lights.... well actually 3 cops.... they ran my tag and noticed it was for my BMW I had and I had "no insurance" well I checked with allstate and the SC DMV before I left so I was perfectly fine in doing that
I had insurance for it (the cops didnt even bother to run my policy number) and just fussed at me for the wrong tag (which acording to the dmv I have a few days to get it switched over). so they called a wrecker and took her away.... $160 to get her out
I'm picking her up again tomorrow
I guess I was under the wrong impression....

I WIN told you it was a cover!!! haha. you gotta pull the dash to get in a heater core, its a chore, but aint all to bad can get it out in about an hour and its a bit easier going back in for w/e reason.

And I'm sure no state allows you to put another car's plates or tags on a non-registered car.
