now im really freakin confused
i started the engine and disconnected the vac line to the ac thing at the manifold. the idle picked up a 100 rpm or so and the idle was much better, but that is a vac leak so i plugged it cuz in a normal working system it will be limited. also disconnected the egr to test my idea. the engine seemed to run a little longer than normal but it still hits normal temp, runs for a while and slowly sputters to its death.
im so frustrated with that car, i was gonna start drivin it in june, it has been down since then.

Jeff,
checked on a few of your last posts. One question, have you checked your coil ? Sometimes when it gets hot under the hood it will fail till it cools a little. Just a thought

the web site http://manuals.type4.org/ljet/ was referred to me by someone on zcar.com. it would appear that my z is running a little rich, and someone mentioned the AFM.
the site mentions something about contacts in the AFM that are related to the fuel pump. does anyone know about this???
