1990 300zx non turbo 165,000 miles
Car will not start sometimes. Just sounds like a relay clicking. Checked all fuses switches on clutch pedal. Today i drove it. It would start and idle fine, but when you give it gas It would rev up a little and try to die, but then i shut it off turned it back on and it would run fine?? plus the sealt belt light would flash but you could barely see it, and the beeping seatbelt sound would sound all crazy like the battery is dead. Pretty new alternator. brand new battery. brand new starter. Is it some transistor or what. Please help.

may have a fried fuel pump or possibly a short that is effecting your fuel delivery system. Try getting behind the car with the key in the on position and see if you can hear your fuel pump click on in the rear. As for the rest of the crazy ****, i dunno, may be part of the short or could be something entirely different.

Alternator
If its not a Fuel problem check you alternator and ignition wiring, may not be firing right ( spark plugs may be going bad ) my 280zx was doing same thing and all i did was change plugs and she fine again Good luck

If you have a problem that is affecting the brightness of the lights, then you either have a charging problem, or a battery problem. When the car is running, check the voltage at the battery. Should be approx. 14.4 volts. If it's less than that, then it could be the voltage regulator inside your alternator.
