New Z owner, and new to Z Forums!
Whats up everyone! Names Eric, 22, 4 Year Air Force EOD guy, now fulltime student. I deleted my old post as it was probably turning people away. Sort of new here, but figured this was a good place to start!
I bought this car a few days ago, and always loved the car since I was little. I had a few questions.
Since it is a CA car and now smog exempt, are there any parts I can remove from her to get a little more power, or just remove as they are not needed?
Mah motor
My other semi-large concern/complaint was that First and second gear were great. When i hit 3rd and fourth gear and was getting it into the RPM's it felt like it bogged, which made me feel as though the carbs weren't tuned correctly. The owner told me it originally had the "notorious flat-top" carbs and he replaced them with the round one. If that is the case, is there a guide to do this? I'm only a little noob, but I pickup on these things quite quickly. Any information would help. I really want to keep it stock, and old school (aside from maybe a CD player).

Nice car and welcome to Zdriver! Your front bumper is upside down or the guards are. You won't gain any noticable power by removeing smog equipment. The most noticable power would be a header and bigger, dual air cleaners. Check the dizzy for wear and the points. Search the forums for SU carb tuning. It looks original in the bay so don't strart flogging the old girl.
