ok so i went to a hybridz meeting and now one of the guys is selling his engine so imma buy it and put it in the 240z my dad knows how to do engine swaps so he said he will help me is it worth $200? i think so http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread...=113508&page=8

Sure it is worth $200. But if I were you, I would fix the carbs on your 240z. What is the big deal with them? I had to learn to tune my carb on my Firebird. And it works like a champ. But anyway it's your car. But I would fix what is wrong with it. Instead of swapping another engine in it. And I agree with entropy.."fail" lol

well snw that sucks now i don't want to go turbo and thus don't need your info so find your own damn s/c cause im not paying for a s/c when for 50 bucks more i can get a complete new engine. and e it wouldn't work out that's a stupid idea!

If you want to get the engine. Then go ahead and purchase it. But keep it around for something else. And fix your 240z, the way it is now. Get into the books..and learn. You can do it man. Good luck to you...

Man, even if I didn't know how to use the tool to balance the carbs, and if I didn't have the money to balance the carbs. I'd start just messing with them anyway. Let the car idle and start richening the mixture until the idle seemed smoother, then start doing test drives and richening or leaning the mixture until it seemed to drive ok. At least that way I'd have something that may not be tuned right, but would still run until I could afford to tune them properly.
My friend messed with the carb on his Toyota little by little until he got it to run at least decently.
