I just put in the new altenator and it still wont charge...what else could it be?I have tried different batteries and that didnt work.

 

try checking your voltage regulator, that's more than likely the issue. the voltage regulator is on the passenger side of the engine bay about 1/2 way back. It's either going to be gold or shiny silver color, and it connects to a harness next to the alternator. good luck!

not to my knowledge. I know that the Z's have them external (in the engine bay), because I've had to replace mine before, due to an overcharging problem. Just take the voltage regulator out of the vehicle and take it down to autozone and they will check it out.
