Need throttle return springs for my 'new' SU's...
Well,
I just got a 'new' set of round top SU's installed and the throttle return springs on the linkage is over stretched, so now, unless I stick my foot under the gas pedal to pull it back up, it'll idle at 3000 rpm.
Since it's sunday, I haven't had a chance to call the local Nissan dealership to see if they're still available.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I've thought about wiring enough coils together to increase the spring rate, but haven't jumped down that path yet.
Cheers,
LWW

Went by Home Depot and they didn't have crap for a selection so I went home empty handed.
The wife sent me out to the store so I stopped by OSH next to Safeway and lo and behold, they had a pair of 7/16" tension springs, 3.5" long with .043 wire for $3.43.
Bought them and compared it to my originals. They are nearly identical in length but a little thicker wire so the spring rate is a little heavier. I may put one of the original stretched springs back on to relieve some of the pressure on the foot pedal.
Regardless, it's back on the road!
Of course, now I think I have an exhaust leak... ;(
