Need help buying a 73 240z!

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and super excited about my new project. Currently in the market for a Datsun 240z/280z and looking at a 1973 240z, see link below. First of all I want some input on the car, pricing to see if its a good buy. Thanks so much, any input will be great.

Welcome to ZDriver!

So to clarify... you don't already HAVE a project, but you are looking for a project? Because that car in the link isn't much of a "project"... it looks fully restored. And I didn't see an asking price... so are you asking us what we think a proper price is?

I wouldn't touch it unless I saw pics of it before paint and saw pics of how they did the body work.

Thanks for the respond, sorry for the miss used of words. I'm a busy guy and not looking for a project, but a car that is pretty close to fully restored. They guy is asking 8k OBO, I just want to know if thats a fair market value. Seller stated exterior is 9-10 and interior 8-10 from a scale of 1-10. Some rust on the driver floor.

Thanks

I would pass. If they spent that much time painting a car and restoring the interior but the floor still has rust, god knows what they skimped on body work wise.

It's up to you...

I can think of probably 20 other cars I'd rather buy for $8k.
