Low Tension Lead Wire

Low Tension Lead Wire
Car won't start... no spark.. diagnostics followed from the troubleshooting in a Haynes manual... really pretty respectable and probably led to the problem... got inside the cap and sure enough; burned wire and insulation was gone on the Low Tension Lead Wire.. identified name with the diagram in the manual...
So... where in the world can you buy one? Spent about two hours looking and find them for a MG Midget and they are all wrong.... Ford partsman said they had a drawer full years ago but not anymore (electronic ignitions)....
Can I make one?
Ideas, suggestions?.. will pull it today as it is a little wire, about two inches long with the same connector on each end that you find on the oil style condensers....

Condenser clips
I probably won't get many answers to my low tension lead wire question and where to buy so I am anticipating making my own.....
So I look like I know what I am doing, does anybody know the name of the clip that comes at the end of an old style condenser? Installed the condenser for years and years and never knew the name of the clip that slides in...
Any help on that?
Thanks

solution
I pulled the two inch wire out of the distributor and headed to the "Big City" and stopped in at O'Reilly's Auto and showed them the wire to see if they could come up with something, anything that would work and got blank stares... So we stopped at a pretty good small town NAPA and the two guys there took one look at it and one said, why make one? Why not use a crimp heat shrink connector... OK.... what's that? And he showed me... cut the wire, strip back both sides where the burned off insulation is located, slide them into the tube, crimp in the middle metal piece, and then heat to shrink wrap.... quite a connector... Too late to try this today so will try it tomorrow, install it, and turn the key....
