importance of good connection. S30 and S130 and every car
sooo... you know how ive been bitching of my 260 running like crap until i advanced the timing. well, for the hell of it (dont know why i didnt do it before) i went around with electrical cleaner spray and a pin to bend and clean ALL clip contacts in the ECU harness.... afm, air reg, CHTS, ecu connectors its self.... and ummm, yeah..... i want to sex my self up for it, also the TPS and installed BOV. and the car just hauls, i had to check my boost guage to make sure it was still at 7 lbs cause the rear would not stay down spun all the way trough the top of 2nd on dry pavement....and its all from boost no launching was done.... i damn near shat my pants.
so let that be a lesson to you all, CLEAN YOUR CONNECTIONS FIRST!!!! when ever something bad goes wrong.
now i dont want to sell it EVER!!!!

Hey snow, if you don't want to sell it. Then keep it, you have put a lot into it. So why not? And especially since you got it running ****. Oh and yes cleaning connections is verry crucial to our cars running correctly. Whether they be n/a, or turbo. They throw up a fit, when something isn't right with the F.I. system, or wiring in general. I have learned that myself, since owning Z's. Congrats on getting it running great, and yeah post a vid of it. That would be sweet.

lol, yeah, i never suspected it since it was running fine untill i had teh FI harness off only, that was it jus the injectors TPS and air-reg connections for changing the gasket... so i didnt think the connections woulda got so fubar'd from that time and what i did. it was wierd. and bleach, i would LOVE to get a pulsar... GTI-R that is.... other wise, not to much fun sounding. id part with one of my Z's for a GTI-R, those things are just cool beans!

Alright I know I'm bringing back a bit of an older thread, luckily it's not too old, but can you give me an example of how you go about bending the electrical contacts? I'm gonna go through and clean all mine because it's just something to get out of the way, but if you can elaborate on the bending so I don't screw it up that'd be cool.

Get a tiny itty bitty mini flathead screwdriver & lightly bend in the angled side of the metal connectors in the plug. Do a couple test fits to make sure it slides on & off w/ some (but not too much) resistance. If the connector has a lot of corrosion, you can dip it in Lime Away for a minute & then wash it off. Blow dry & apply some di-electric grease.
