how much horsepower?

how much horsepower?
I am almost done putting my 240z back together after the engine rebuild. The engine is an '83 zx turbo motor with a stock bottom end, mildly ported and polished head, O ringed block, T3/T4 garret turbocharger, 3" downpipe with 2 1/2" to the back, straight through muffler, Isuzu NPR frontmount intercooler, 3" intake to the turbo, 2 1/2" from turbo through the intercooler to the intake, K&N cone filter, and stock everything else. I am expecting to run 18-20 psi from the turbo. How much horsepower can I expect from this setup? Thanks for the info!

Re: how much horsepower?
Hey, thanks for the reply!! The main reason that I haven't switched to a standalone fuel system is because of the cost. I'm only seventeen and have to mow lawns for my money!! Everything that I have done so far has been pretty inexpensive. I did the engine rebuild myself (had access to tools through my high school) which only cost $400 for parts. The turbo was $550 and the intercooler was $300. Other than that, everything was just a whole lot of work to do myself. The main reason that I am building up the motor is to compete with a friend (or enemy). He has a 70 Camero that he built a 500 hp small block for. His problem is that he can't get any traction to put all that power to the road. I think I will have a shot at beating him with my current setup. If not, then I am strongly looking at going with the standalone fuel system. For all you guys out there that have used one, how much work is it to tune the thing so it works right?? Which ones work the best for the least amount of money, and how streetable are they? Thanks for all your help!!

Re: how much horsepower?
Jeremy,
I am using a stock 77 efi setup on my turbo 260. I am using stock injectors with methanol injection. The methanol should allow you to run 18psi safely. That's good for about 380hp. Mehtanol is much better than rubbing alcohol! You do need to be careful with hoses, ect. Mine runs thruogh a nitroius soleniod. It's turned on by a hobb switch. I use the NO2 nozzle so that I can adjust the flow by changing out pills. Don't forget to get a good clutch! Stock just won't cut it. good luck,
Jim
