Hey 280 guys, any input?
Hey 280 guys, any input?
Hey guys, my step dad stumbled upon a 1977 280z with a rebuilt engine (possibly a larger engine, need to see it in person before we say for sure). My step dad was told it was turbo ready, everything was set up for boost its just missing the turbo...OEM paint and the interior is in good shape for the age. According to the owner it has Ferarri headers/exhaust on it...(that really makes me curious)...for $2k..
I'm hopefully going to look at it tomorrow after school and get some pictures. Could you guys tell me how much these things sell for? miles are uncertain but it has a new or a rebuilt engine in it eitherway...Im trying to get my parents to buy it as a grad gift or so i can fix it a little and sell it for profit...what do you guys think?

I was just told "Its turbo ready, has everything to run boost aside the actual turbo"
Is there anything i should take pictures of specifically? any places of the engine?

I had a 40 year old guy try to tell me his 92 Ford Taurus SHO was turbocharged. I asked him to show me the turbocharger & he said he can't cuz it's "in the engine."
If this is the "Ferrari" emblem you find on the exhaust and headers then beware:
.
Not necessarily bad products, but they're NOT Ferrari parts and they're NOT turbo ready
So if this guy is already misleading you then you have to wonder what else he's feeding you BS about. See if he's got any documentation on the engine rebuild and when it was done.
