help me find my Z!

Hi well back in the 80's my mother had a 280z that she loved but she had to sell it ( 80's or very early 90's ) because she had a brake problem and she would have to use her e-brake and she finally just sold it to which i belive was Russ chevrolet in Tigard oregon. and well i was hoping if someone could help me find the owner because i would like to speak to him/her about the car because i love these older z's and i actually never saw the car in person because im 13. but please help us find the car and here is some of what i know about it.

license plate # AND 946 ( yellow oregon license plate )
color, very well kept medium blue ( stainless trim was not polished after fac.
rims, multi spoke cross lace aluminum rims
rear window louvers
sunroof
very clean interior
i think my mother was the 2nd owner and lived in lake oswego, oregon
stock ( as far as i know )
sold to Russ chevrolet of tigard oregon.
she was an 1977 datsun 280z
little to no damage
and the most important part i forgot was that the brakes were bad, very very bad, the regular brakes didnt work at all and about every piece of the brake system was replaced which ment the emergency brake was used and that was giving out. also there was a bad battery drain somewhere in the circuit (cant remember exactly)

thats all i know about it i'll try to get more info from my mother when i can and but please help me find the owner THANKS.

if you have the old license plate you can take the original owner to the Department of motor vehicles. They can access their stuff to find the vin and the current owner, it's all public information.

Off my vin i pulled the past three owners of my pile of parts and tracked it's history.

It's fairly easy but it does take time and effort.

Have you taken anyone's advice? A simple "bump" after people tell you to do something, isn't very effective.

how did you tell it was a 2+2? didnt even know. i would rather have a coupe but no biggi though. we'll probaly hold off as i also got my hands tied with my IROC-Z. but yes, we dont really have the room and all to work on the cars but iv done minor stuff with the camaro, and i also got most of the more basic handtools.

dont really wanna take on a project right now, we mostly wanted an nice, near mint 280z for just an cruiser since the camaro cant be LEGALLY driven for several reasons (needs tags, exhuast, title, etc.)

Thats actually a nice kit but the wheels are too small or the suspension needs lowering.
