a little borred and wanted to know wut ur car can run on the quarter mile or any other stories of wins or loses, just wanted to know if these cars can still out run the best of them.

 

my old 240z did a quarter in 14.2(probably faster because more mods done to it after the run). My new one does it in 16 or thereabouts. It'll be faster soon.

racing story-
in my friends 240, we hit a red light with a riced out camry...yes, thats camry. Anyway, the dude gives the look, and we're off. We smoke him, and he pretends he wasn't racing. 10 seconds later, he goes flying by us at 70 when we were going 35 because we stopped racing and were driving sanely. I looked at my buddy, and said "what just happened?"
Before i could say another word, his foot was to the floor. We cought the dude around a 90 degree trun onto a 2 lane road. I told my friend to hop in the opposite lane because he had plenty of time. Long story short, the dude had a 7 second headstart, we caught him, and burned him going 110 in a 35 in the wrong lane. My friend was a cop so noone pulls him over...just like noone beats a z...especially rice.

 

I was going to my friends house and this little rich kid in a 330ci BMW lowered totally riced out was looking over at me, at first i was like WTF? When the light turned green i could tell he was going for it so i pinned it, at about 50mph i passed him so bad. Next light he wants to go again so this time i just pinned it off the line and wasted him horribly. he slammed on his brakes and turned off the road. I had a good laugh about that one. The best is when guys try to show off for thier girlfriends and they get thier asses handed to them, i've done that as well all the while my friend was spanking the outside of the door of my car as we passed him.

My story of a showdown of local sleeper titans...

 

Ive just had my z for a few weeks now and just learning what it is capable of. I raced this bimmer 535i through th canyon. it was an older one 88 or older. It was pretty fun, my tires were sqealin through some turns and he didn' t even make a chirp. Its not a kill but it was an intense experience.

 

thinking back, i tried that tailpipe thing once. hurt very much bad. once i finally get these skin grafts paid off, i'm gettin' me a ricer 4- inch muffler and i'm tryin' again.....

 

well a few days ago me and and friend were going to the beach he has a 91' crx and I have a 73' 240Z well we pull up to a light and a MR2 pulls in between us and wants to run well we ran 3 lights back to back and it was a joke the last run I sat at the light for a few seconds then past him while doing so I paced him and waved at his girl then left him in the dust. same night on the freeway coming home a riced out S10 and a MR2 turbo tryed racing me and my buddy lets just say I passed them all and hit 145mph on the freeway my friend that was in the car with me was freakin out.

 

now where do you live? cuz there's no way we could ever pull s@#$ like that in new york. cops around here are on you before you redline third gear!!!

 

Well bro the problem is you live in New York there aint much space to race. I live in southern cali and there aint much in the way of cops on the weekends cause of all the illegal street racing here. So by my pad it is easy to not get caught but sometimes there are cops but come on what "crown vic" is going to keep up with a Z in a straight line let alone in corners and there are a lot of corners around here.

my friend has a de-copped cop car. that 5.7 litre engine may not accelerate the car all that fast (the thing is a ten ton boat), but i bet it tops out at 150. anyway it has this huuuuge fan that rotates in relation with engine rpms. when he revs the engine it sound like a plane is takeing off.

 

My best race id threw Virgin River Gorge. Its a little stretch of I15 between Nveveda and Utah.I was in my 70 240 with triple webers.The other cars involved in this race were a 89 Vette 80,s porsche 911, 320 BMW. We actually started playing about Mesquite pasing eachother and [censored]. Then we hit the gorge the porsch took off first then the vette then the Bmw. I laid back then dropped 3rd rapped out to about 95mph and almost 7000rpm. All the cars were lined up on the inside of this 50mph lefthander i hit fourth and nailed the *** end starteda little slide but I just stayed in it and steered threw it. to make a long story short the only contender was the porsch and he lost by about 1 minute I got off at the first st.gorge exit and timed it. If you ever get a chance to really drive that section of road do it it is very forgiving. I grew up in Cail and have raced many roads but nothing compares to virgin river for speed. But for talent that goes to the pomona mountains.

Friends dont let friends drive anything but a Z.
