Is this a good deal?
Its a yellow, 1977, 280Z with 108,000 miles on it. Perfect interior (even the dash), guages, lights, everything in perfect working order. Origal spare tire, and tire changing kit. Its got new hoses and some other new parts. Theres a little bit of rust around the rear wheel wells and quite a bit where the bumpers used to be. In both cases is has not even come close to rusting all the way through. Also, it has a nice stereo system and a CD player.
He's selling it for $2200. Good deal?
The only problem is that I test drove it and when I let out the clutch the car feels like its lugging even when I'm at around 3000 rpms. I'm used to driving modern stick cars so is this just a problem with my tecnique or is this a serious problem with the car?
Thanks a lot. -Ted

Re: Is this a good deal?
It sounds like the car is bogging bad. Could be the AFM or something more intailed. i would offer 1500 that leaves 700 to fix any of the problems you bought. My 78 doing a clutch dump at 3000 spins the tires until I shift or let off.
