depends on the calipers you're planning on using:
79-83 calipers are for non-vented rotors, and they're a direct bolt in using stock non-vented rotors. Mild street improvement, and not good for track, as rotors will quickly overheat without sufficient cooling. Only change you have to make is bend your own brake lines to fit.
84-86 calipers are for vented rotors, so use '84 300zx 4 bolt vented rotors with 1/2" spacers, see j260's post for Mike Kelly's link on 4 piston setup. I have the same thing (minus crossdrilled) on my car. I'm also running a 15/16 MC
