240Z clocks
I have a question to all of the 240Z owners...do any of the clocks in your cars work? I have the stock clock in my car, and it doesn't work...is there a fuse that I need to replace, or is it shot for good? Oh, and another question...my Z overcharges for some reason...my father and I believe it to be from the voltage regulator, but we don't really know...so if anyone knows why it does it, please let me know!

Z clock
My clock is dead also. Found 2 sites that rebuild them with quartz movements. http://members.aol.com/zclock4u/wp.html www.zspecialties.com/hotdeal.htm You send your dead core and they refit it. As for the over charge problem sounds like you're on the right track

dead clocks
Hi z dudes. Last weekend I picked up an extra clock at the pick and pull. Of course when I got it home it was not working. I removed the rear cover, shot a little WD40 on the gears and gave it a little nuge with a rubber stick. Much to my surprise it started to run but stopped again. I kept coaxing it and after a few minutes it ran on it's own! Now it keeps almost perfect time!
My 70' has air so I might have to remove the dash to get to the clock!
