Drums to -> Disc swap

i am taking off my drum brakes because i just ordered rear disc brake conversion from modern motorsport and i can't figure out how to get the e-brake assembly from the front of the brake of. DO i just cut it off ????

don't cut!

I have a 70 Z and I am about to put zx disc on the rear. If I understand what you mean, you need to remove the clip on the cable were the rubber coated part ends. Pry it towards the rear of the car and it will pop out. Then pull the rubber coated part away from the brake assembly and out through the slot. Then you can loosen the two nuts that secure it to the lever. There is a good picture in Clymer "Datsun Repair Hand book" I can send you a picture if you need it.

thanx man but it turned out that i had to cut of the backing plate anyway so thats what i did and than i just disconnected the brake line.but thanx anyway
