when i pick up some speed my right rear wheel makes some clunking noise (clunk clunk clunk) the faster i go the faster the sound gets
i was jus wondering could i fix this i was gonna replace the rear axles both left n right cuz on the left one the ruber seal broke so the joints are dry as a bone

Re: clunking noise
I don't remember what a wheel bearing sounds like if it's a squeek squeek or clunk clunk. Check to see if youcan grab the top of your wheel and move it in and out, if you feel play it's your bearing, if not I would say you have road kill attached to your half shaft, and it whaks the frame on the way around. J.K. your c.v. joints are probly going out on that side. I was driving through Texas one time, and I heard that same noise, suddenly whack whack whack real loud like and then died to a thump thump. We pulled over to check it out a freakin snake bit the damn tire as we drove by, got stuck and we had to pull its carcass off. It made a mess of the fender well. O.K. enough story time. check that out and post results.
What turns? There all straight to my Z

Re: clunking noise
could it b a flat spot in the tire? i'd try swapping f&r tires, and while there take a look at the strut and halfshaft components while it's jacked up to see if anything obvious is wrong.

Re: clunking noise
Road Kill ...I like that one!
Actually, check the u-joints on the half-shafts and drive-shaft (the sound can travel). If those are OK then check the rear end for excessive play (you should have a lot of other noises if it is the rear end). Most of the time that is a "clunk noise" is a u-joint. Wheel bearings are usually a squeal or squeak. One other time I did see were the rear break shoes came loose (clips broke) and the shoes beating on the outside of drum (again you should have other noises for that one). Good luck and lets us know what you find.
