Help my 75 had a 5 yr old batt, would not hold charge changed for new now car turns over but no start. Pump is running, did not have running problem before batt change, HELP

Check for spark.
Check for fuel pressure.
Check fusible links.

 

Tks: Checked fuel pump, will check spark tomorrow, fuse links were ck moved them back and forth, funny changed batt and something else happens.

 

You may have forgotten the 2 wires from the battery to the ecu. Also if you reversed them it won't start.

 

A new, good battery can cause dodgy fuses and links to go (old batt couldn't push enough amps for that to happen)

 

Switched links no change ,where are fuses are you talking about? Ck spark to distributor 12 volt, but no fire to plug wires. Can rotor or points go bad at one time ?Maybe bad electronics on switch? CK gas pressure up.HELP Will look for ecm wires. TKS

 

You don't have points. Time to download the FSM and go step by step through it.
