anyone interested in this rear disc conversion

I bought my 1977 280 with this conversion already done. It took me some time to figure out what it was and to get it working properly. I had never seen this setup before on a Z. It does appear to work well...it saved my stock front brakes from turning to mush after a track day at Second Creek. I figured I'd share it with you and see what you think. It is from the rear of a 1986 Pontiac 6000 STE. I know I know. The calipers are the same as used on the Fiero. They are a light weight aluminum unit with 10% larger bore then the ZX rear calipers and have a rear park break actuator. The bracket is also off of the Pontiac 6000 STE with the holes redrilled for proper positioning of the caliper. It uses the stock 6000 STE rear disc ( 10 5/16" with 1.5" hat depth) as well with the Z bolt pattern redrilled in the rotor and a 14mm spacer behind the disc for the correct rotor to caliper alignment. I'm using Porterfield R4-S compound part # AP 262 autocross/street pads on them which work great. You may have to install a proportioning valve on them to tune them as well and the 280ZX 15/16 master. I am not using a proportioning valve on them...I have full bias to the back with a welded rear diffy and have no lockup issues.
If anyones interested, I've got an extra set of brackets and calipers for sale.
