Talking rear brake conversion(again!)

i live in australia & find it hard to find some of the mentioned parts for a rear disc conversion. without going to the expense of the modern motorsports kit( wish i could afford the extreme 13" all round! ) is there a car type that i could get hold of easily that would be a simple & suitable candidate??

any questions on electroplating & polishing i'd be happy to answer when i get the chance. it's been my job for the past year; a painful process when it comes to doing parts for my car as well, bloody aluminium castings!! anyone willing to do it for me?? lol

You can use 82-83 280ZX Turbo rear caplipers and non-turbo rear rotors. You would have to fabricate a bracket to mount the calipers.

i have just built this kit for my bros 240. we used the 240sx calipers and 11.5 inch sloid rotors from the na 300. i machined the caliper brackets at my shop. if you just need brakets ,and can source out the other bits ,i can make you a set.

The brackets are available from Ross at www.modern-motorsports.com in Canada. I'm using these myself. There are a couple of sticklers like modifying the E-cable bracket to use the 240Z E-cable or swapping in the 240SX E-cable, the swaybar links need to be shortened to clear the E-cables, the proportioning valve needs to be gutted (it's mounted near the differential and the hardline to flexline on the driver's side leaves something to be desired (it does work fine though). The only other issue is the pad does not completely cover the rotor (in my case anyways) missing it by about 3/16th inch.
