77' 280z T5
I recently changed my 4 sp transmition to a borg warner T5. the clutch seems to drag because no matter what reverse grinds when i go in. when i come to a stopsing first is harder to get in than it should be. It doesn't drag hardenough to make the car roll on level ground. i don't think. I did replace the pressure plate when i swapped transmitions but the clutch disc was new. Any advice is apperciated.

did you have to replace the slave cylinder? If so you might try rebleeding the system.

I had the same problem when I did the swap. Did you put in gear lube or ATF? A lot of the Borg Warner trannys use ATF instead of the normal gear lube. If you used gear lube, then that would account for the harder shift into first. I used ATF in mine, but still had the harder shift into first and reverse, but after a month or so of driving, it loosened up and is now working fine.
