280ZX HOOKUP
JUST BROUGHT A 280ZX FOR $100 MACHANICALLY SWEET JUST THE BODY IS *****. GOING TO DO THE SWAP OVER ONTO MY 260Z 2 SEATER.
ANY POTENTUAL HURDLES YOU GUYS HAVE HAD IN THE SWAP.
GONNA DO THE R200 SWAP AND BRAKES . DO I HAVE TO CHANGE THE GAS TANK OR IS THAT FOR TURBO ONLY BRAKE BOOSTER CHANGE OK?? ANY OTHER ADVISE???
PLEASE ANY INFO WILL BE COOL.

Did this swap a couple of summers ago. An '82 2.8L EFI to a '73 Fairlady Z (RHD). No need to change gas tank but you need an electric fuel pump, You need the two green relays from the 280 to operate the fuel pump correctly. Small custom wiring harness for fuel pump wiring. The 280 computer. You don't need to do any wiring under the dash (get power from starter circuit). I think I changed tach hot wire over to computer also. The AFM was a tight fit but the intake hose fit thru the air vent hole. Got all wiring from Z book. I also took the entire wiring harness from the 280 (laid it out on the garage floor) and just started cutting back on (and as long as possible) the wires for the components (sensors and stuff) I was keeping. I must add that I kept everything original. The car screams! giZmo
