The 280z that I plan on getting

strip the interior gut the doors etc.... these cars are very light as it is. you can also get the smaller 240Z bumpers and tear out all AC and heat accessories. basic stuff. and not to shabby. looks like a dash cap so i bet teh interior isnt great but looks fine to me!!!! might have had some stuff replaced. good project car kinda high price i think though. get it for 1800 or 2k

it could be.... hard to tell. those white lines on the door panels should be chrome if you were curious and i bet that steering wheel is gross! haha people put the covers on them cause the originals where down and get gummy its annoying. and thats dumb i sold my show room quality 280Z for 6k all it needed was the seats re-covered to finish the interior to show room and the under body was **** your pants clean with a 5 month old paint job. he is asking to much!!!!!

your money! just saying.... i think its a bit much... when i bought mine it needed some underbody refreshing all surface rusted on the driveline otherwise prepped PERFECTLY for paint with the near perfect interior with an entire wall full of spare parts and the 80-90k original miles for 1800

gonna have to do some major gutting if you wanna cut weight but why? before you get flamed on the question more power please search. plenty of options just depends how deep your pockets are. but i vote for suspension/brakes before you plan to play on a engine. just my .02 cents

well I did some research and they only have 160ish horsepower... I just want say 20 ro 40 more to hit the 200 mark,
I already know I'm going to lower it a little bit plus sway bars and shocks right off the bat
the weight thing is because if you loss weight you have a better power to weight ratio,

the car only weighs about 2500lbs as it is. its hard to cut weight anymore and its also why the 160hp feels pretty decent in these cars. just clean up the engine bay for now and do some suspension work and paint so the car will look good and wont start to rot out THEN work on the engine. not much you can do to make the NA create more power i would suggest going turbo at that point

theres alot of those emmision hoses you can clean up, i would suggest getting an N42 manifold though otherwise not even worth cleaning up thos hoses. also, the bumpers only weigh about 30 lbs a piece i would say. but compared to the 240Z or the CF 240Z style ones that weigh like 5lb or less.... it can add up.

Just be careful... yanking stuff off just to make things "look pretty" can cause problems and headaches. Nissan put them there for a reason.
