$500 for a Turbo 280Z

Well. I ran into another killer deal. But, I really only want the engine. I want to swap the engine from this turbo 280Z into my 260Z.

So, my question it this.

Would there be anyone interested in a $200 parts car minus engine when I am done?

If anyone is interested, let me know. The car will be in Payson AZ.

If no one is interested, I may not get the car. I will not have room to store it.

Lemme know fast please. Thanks.

Hopefully I will have some pictures up soon. I have not seen the car in person yet, but trust the person I am getting it from. I will keep you all informed.

If this car turns out to be a turn key deal, I might have to sell the car. I hate raping a perfectly good running vehicle for the engine. I really don't want two Z's right now, and if I did I don't think I want a 280.

280z turbo? or 280zx turbo? big difference and if its a turbo 280z i doubt they are selling anything worth money for 500 dollars. if its a zx, then it would be worth it, just get what you need take out teh good parts scrap teh car, cause no one is going to buy a parts car, people make parts cars. then you can sell the good parts to make your 200 dollars.junkyard can pick up the car they all have tow trucks.

People don't buy part cars???

Since when?

What do you think I am doing?
Sorry, that was kinda a weird statement.

Anyway, I will find out of it is a Z or ZX. Very good point there.

Thanks.

People buy parts cars all the time. Especially if you need a bunch of parts, and it's all there for $200. But, if no one will buy it then I will rip off what I can use and sell if need be. I just thought someone could get more use out of it than me selling the parts off of it. Besides I really don't have that kind of free time.

Usually the motor is the desired item of a "parts car." I personally wouldn't pay for a Z w/ no motor (unless it's a pristine 240z for cheap)... You could GIVE it to me for free... or sell off the rest of the parts on ebay yourself.

It was a Z, not a ZX, but that does not matter now. I missed out on it. It was a friends brother, and he has had it for sale for some time because he was moving over seas to Italy. He dropped the price because he was leaving Tuesday and was worried it was going to get towed to a salvage yard.
I missed out on the whole deal and I am kind of sour for it.

Me personally, if I wanted to swap the 5 speed T5 into my Z (Already have that) and needed a few other parts like seats, whatever, the $200 is more than worth it.

Whatever.

I was wanting a turbo engine in my 260, but from the sound of the shape of the car when I talked to the guy personally, I wouldn't have taken it out. It's in better shape than mine, or at least that is what I came to understand over the phone. But, it did have a wiring problem, and he did not know what to do.

I see parts cars sell all the time for that kind of money. New old and inbetween. With or without a good engine.
Maybe this is just an Arizona thing???
Or maybe you guys just have more money to spend than some.
