Exclamation poor performace (engine swap)

Ok straight to business. I have a 78 280Z with its stock motor. And laer on i swaped it for the 82 F54 engine. However when i did so the car is running.. Problem is i whont make no power.... i can't rev past 3.4 at the MAX! and can't go over 80 Mph.. its ridiculus since its supposed to have a faster and better engine. my other engine before i blew it (stock 78 280z engine ) ran 135mph EEEASLY with about 2k rpm's before redline. So WTH is going on here.. takin in considerations that the following

- burns oil sometimes. (blueish smoke)
- poor reving.
-NOOO TORQUE
-NOOO POWER
-wastes To much gas FAST
- it might be running ritch( frm what my cuzn told me)

DONE THE FOLLOWING:

-Gas filters (both)
- New oil (burns it )
- New Intake Cleaner
-Changed injectors
-New sparks
-timed it
checked compression( its good)
and other small maitenence things.

F.Y.I

My cuzn told me that i could change the harness and ecu to the 280zx one. OR! that i could just put the senors and intake or EFI thing rom the 78 that way the i would only have the F54 block but with the 78 sensors without having to change the ecu or harness wich im shure is a bitch to do.. What do u guys think.. TRUE or FALSE? i'd LOOVE to get some facts and opinions. THANKS!

Another AFM problem. Adjust the AFM w/ an air / fuel gauge.

Adjust the timing too.

AFM = Air Flow Meter. It's the sensor box in front of the throttle body. Read this thread: https://www.zdriver.com/forums/240z-280zxt-s30-s130-tech-tips-275/js-how-rebuild-your-afm-15277/

And adjust your timing.
