im not sure what it means. i was cruzin down the freeway at about 90 mph @ about 3700 rpm. and my passanger happened to look into the tranny tunnel cuz theres no shift boot there at the moment so u can see strate down. he noticed that the new header i put on there was glowing orange. when i slowed down to about 65 70 ish it wasnt glowing. is this a problem. could i be running too rich. its a brand new header no more than 2 weeks old. leme know your imput. thanks

but also whats teh new header made out of? cause in that thread we were talkin about a cast iron manifold.....but well this is a header that is supposed to flow well, now a turbo manifold where there is gonna be a buil up of heat and back pressure.....

 

Its not all that unusual for a header to glow particularly...question though, have you ceramic coated or thermal taped it? They'll last longer and effect other things less with protection.

 

just a msa 6 into 2 header. motor was really cool. but i was also doin 90 at 3700 rpm for like 20 miles
