aight heres a link to carbs like the ones i got. the add, and others on ebay say that they are round top. i didnt look at the dang casting # on the manifolds, so i cant tell ya that. it had a e30 exhaust manifold on it i immedeatly threw out. it had a ghetto egr system on it. everything on the carbs is intact and works, now i just gotta rebuild them. where can i get cheap parts?

First thing you must identify what you have for carbs . Since this is a '79 , it came with injection . So If your PO changed to carbs they could be Weber or Mikunis or SUs. If you do have SUs , contact ZTherapy at ztherapy.com they rebuild SUs and also sell parts . They should be able to help. Good luck . Gary

hes talking about another 240z engine he has not the 79. Have you looked at Z-therepy?

ummm me linky disapeared, crap. oh well. um yeah, not for my car at all, just got a 240 motor for free, just trying to get the carbs to work, incase the 79 wants them. trying to decide if the carbs would work well to make the most power right now. megasquirt would be nice. but since the 79 injection isnt really tunable for my application, i thought i may swap to carbs. but only considering if they are the good ones. otherwise they may go on the racecar 280zx
