Heads and Intake Manifold for Turbo Swap?

I was doing a turbo conversion on my 1978 280z. I have a rebuilt engine that allready came in the car and I was planing on using the lower end in my conversion. I allready have bought the turbo manifold, the turbo, blow off valve, and the wastegate. I was wondering though, what head to go with and also what intake manifold to go with. Would a P90 head and a N42 intake manifold work or what should I use? Any help would be grately appreciated. Thanks

Are you aiming for a fun ride, or to race it? If you want to race it or if you plan to be on the throttle a lot, I would advise against using the n/a bottom end. At least use the turbo pistons to lower the compression ratio. Using a P90 head w/ the turbo cam is a start. The N42 isn't going to do much performance upgrading... tho it will keep intake temps down a tiny tiny bit.

Are you planning on using the stock turbo ecu & harness? You have the turbo oil pan to dump the turbocharger oil back in?

P90 head would be the choice for a N/A botom end with flat tops. You could run a 2mm head gasket to bring compression down closer to 8:1 if you're worried about that.

That reminds me... I forgot to ask one thing... Blurrr, do you have the N42 or F54 block? The N42 will have dished pistons & with a 2mm headgasket, the CR should be ok...

We just plan on using it for a fun ride. Something to keep up with my brothers 240sx with SR20DET. It's a N42 block and N42 heads. I really just want it a little quicker. A extra 50-100whp will be fine with me. I bought a stock turbo, and we are going to use the stock wiring and ecu. I may eventually swap over to a SR like my brother, but idk yet. I still think there is no replacement for displacement. I also haven't got the oil pan yet...So just for fun driving, the P90 head will be good? Any specific intake manifold that you could recommend for me to look for? Thanx

Since you will be using the stock wiring (turbo wiring right?), then use the turbo manifold... keep it simple for now.
