Engine noise after water pump replaced
I replaced my water pump and car ran fine then started to make a groaning/ binding noise from the bottom front. The inner pulley seems loose. It is the one the a/c belt turned on, but the belt is now off. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply nismo. Is it not possible to leave the a/c belt off? The a/c does not function. Can the outer pulley be removed? Do you think it is binding without the a/c belt keeping it aligned? It makes a god awful noise.
When I replaced the water pump, the inner pulley seemed loose. I expected it to be fixed in place, but it didn't appear to be.

Crank pulley issues
Crank pulley (inner) was loose and floppy when I put the belt back on after replacing the water pump. It now makes an awful binding noise and must be replaced. I will pull the part with a puller. For a 78 280Z, any tips about removing the pulley? How do I put it back on? Can I go with a single groove pulley if I don't want the a/c? Any lucid feedback appreciated.
