My 77 280z has been running fine for a while, but recently has been missing when giving it any power. It starts right up and idles great. As soon as I give it gas, I hear a "pop" from around the front of the engine and it won't rev up. It cannot be driven like this. Any suggestions.

 

Check your plugs, you prolly have some fouling, go out and spend the 40$ on a new set if you find any that have sediment build ups on them.

I had a similar problem on my Carb'd Z, i switched to Bosch Platinum plugs, and the problem disappeared, and it feels like i gained 6-10hp. Best 50$cad i ever spent on her.
