clutch problem. this one is a little different...

so ive been driving my car on the new clutch for almost 1000 miles now. car has been great to me mechanically since the swap and a few bolt replacements lol. up until now. my pedal lost all feel. now, usually this means a failure some where. such as if the master fails the pedal drops to the floor or it leaks into the cabin around the push rod. if the slave fails it looses pressure and leaks onto the ground. now... my problem is, it looses almost all the pressure but if you start pumping the pedal up it comes back and is driveable until you full stop the car and then need to pump the pedal back up to go back into first. now, i figured it would be the slave but there is no leaking, the fluid level is full and there is no wet spots. so im a little stumped, i would think air in the line but why would it show itself now? is it possible the master just failed internally so it doesnt hold pressure in the line and the fluid leaks past back into the resevoir so there are no external leaks? idk this one is a little different for me.

haha true that. i've seen internal failures of hydrolic cylinders without leakage twice. both the clutch cylinders on my midget did this. neither leaked, but they were bad. when i got in to them, i saw that the cylinder walls were in pretty bad shape

your teh ghey. i wanted an opinion. but w/e ill just order me up a new master and do a good bleed job since some people arent mature enough to handle the giving information portion of a forum. not like im asking, hey guyz my clutch pedal doesnt work what happened!?!?!?!? im giving two options, but even though i could have figured it out on my own and was probably going to i was only wondering if any one heard of a master fialing in this manner cause it was a new one to me.

no dur not like i havent bled it before. but see, 1000 miles and for this to come up just now? and also the 3 years it sat started right up and i drove it home purchase date no problems. jsut doesnt seem like it should suddenly need to be bled and all is cured. i did plan on bleeding it and doing the proper process to diagnose this problem. so i guess this thread has no real purpose other than im curious. lol. bleed it, no work new master, no work, new slave, no work, car is possesd

Just freaking bleed it, and if that doesn't work, then start throwing more money at it.

yeah this thread was pointless. idk why i posted it, perhaps for hopes, maybe cause this was the only time in a LONG LONG time something went wrong with my car that was interesting. idk, but either way, its not from air in the lines if it was it wouldnt act the way it is, im replacing the master then bleeding it and calling it a day. i wanna order it from MSA but i want the car by next weekend and they are slow with shipping sometimes so idk....

Why not just bleed it instead of replacing the master and then bleeding it? You may not even need a new master, not to mention even if it is the master that's gone bad you'll probably still get a temporary fix.

I used to rake in the dough, but I quit cause I had no life and my grades were suffering. Thinking about starting up again during the summer, I wasted all the money I had aside to go big on the L28 and now I barely have enough for insurance and gas.
