71 240z Restoration

I've got an old Z parked. It was my dad's, and when he parked it he didn't cover it, or put it on blocks, or really consider what might happen. (Not his fault, just stating the background.) The car has literally sat on the ground for ten or more years. Needless to say there are substantial rust issues, amongst other problems. I expressed interest in the vehicle, and it's now our project. First thing is to get it off the ground and tires back on it. Then it's inspection time. We aren't exactly sure what all it needs at this point, due to the lack of extensive prodding. But I figured I'd get on here, and any problems that come up, things that we don't know how to do, I can come on here. So, yeah.

Welcome to ZDriver!

Make sure you drain / change out ALL the fluids before starting it. Drain the gas tank too (there is a drain plug).

How about some pics?

Yeah, I don't even know when I'm going to start this stupid thing, but I'll definitely keep that in mind. I'll get some up at some point.

My 71 sat for 20 years, luckily though, out of the elements in a storage shed. I had to go through (rebuild) every mechanical system on the car (it was all completely frozen up). The car runs great now and is a blast to drive. Good luck with your project! It'll be worth it.
