Had it just idling yesterday to mess with the wiring. Engine vacuum was a little low. I'd say about 16.5-17inHG at idle. Sitting dead steady. Checked timing and that looked a bit retarded, so I need to re-adjust that. Anyway the idle was still hunting a bit and I shook the harness and like magic the idle dropped off and the car nearly died. Shake it again and it came back, I kept playing with things and I couldn't pinpoint where it was, but it doesn't seem to be my ground wires. Those were the ones I could shake while trying to hold everything else steady and seemed to get no response. Once I shook the wires to the point the car died I started pulling apart the electrical tape and looking at my connections I made back from the Z31 ECU swap. Some of those connections really don't look as nice as I remember them. I also wasn't as experienced at soldering then. So I started pulling it all apart and redoing it.

Also I'm going MegaSquirt soon, but until I get my harness fully built I want to see if I can at least get this thing running right. I'm having a hard time finding Z31s in the junkyard lately. So I can't just get plugs with the pins in them and do that.

Update: Well I think I may have FINALLY found it. I pulled apart the tape on where I tapped the power for the Fuel Pump Relay into the Black/White wire coming out of the harness connector. I have no heat shrink on it and it looks like the old L/R wire is connected by about 1-2 strands of copper into the splice. It moves ridiculously easy and looks like it'll break at any moment. So here's hoping! Also my interior lights and everything are working good still.
