Talking Brake problem..?

I just bought my Z 73, 240 not that bad of a condition etc....

When In drove the car from a neighbhoring town me and my brother drove it without brakes. the car was sitting for about a year and was last started about 6-8 months ago I think.

When I first checked the brake fluis reservoirs were dry, we tried to purge the brakes to see f there was any old fluid in the lines and this is the problem we encountered:

#1
--The brakes are kinda loose, almost no feedback on them
--There is a gurgling sound coming from what seems to be is the master cylinder.
--When we purged the brakes (front) Almost nothing came out, not enough to say it was purged.

Someone told me that the seals in the master cylinder may have dry-rotted, and thats why the old fluid that is in there is simply slushing around whenever I press the brake pedal.

Will a rebuild/kit repair kit do the trick? what are other things i could do to fix this? or should I go with a rebuilt replacement? or new one?

#2
--The rear drums were stuck. After a bit of muscle we got them loose but after driving the car without front brakes for a bit over a few miles the passenger/rear brake line snapped.

How hard is it to replace this I have a haynes manual and it doesnt seem that hard, is it? where can i find one?

Im sorry if I seem to be a pain in the *** with all these newbie questions and what not but t be honest this is probably the best place to get my questions answered!

There seems to be a great lack of forums or decent web boards regarding these cars.

Thanks in advance.
