Im not sure about the 240Z but a friend of mine has a 280Z with T-tops. What he did was cut the whole roof off a 280ZX and weld it in place of the old 280Z roof. With a little body work and some bondo it looks awesome. Its the only first gen I have ever even heard about with t-tops though.

This will be your best bet to get it looking and fitting properly so you don't have any leaks.

too bad the 280zx is much wider than the 240Z. Seems like a lot of trouble.
How about buying a 280zx with t-tops?

The reason I ask is that I came across a copy of an old advertisement showing T-tops for a 240Z as an aftermarket accessory. The ad was from the early 70's. It only had a picture and did not say who the maker was. I am currently in the process of putting an LT1 in my 240Z and was just curious if the maker in the ad ever made the T-tops and if so, does anyone know where I might get my hands on one.
