HID Conversion...
HID Conversion...
ok, so heres the deal.... I found a guy in So Cal that wants to trade me his HIDs for my NON HIDs... He needs them by saturday, so Im driving out there tomorrow and spend the weekend there with some friends.
Now my question is, how hard is it to remove the headlights, Im not exactly sure if he wants the full housing or just the bulbs and wires. Im still waiting for a response from him.
but how hard is it to remove the headlights and all that? Is it going to be like a 5-10minute job that I can meet up wtih him and do it right there, or do I need some time to do it and have it ready when i arrive?

From personal experience: I replaced my halogens for HID. Just taking the housing out, if you're familiar the bolt locations, should take you 15-20 minutes to replace each headlight. If not, it'll take you more than 1 hour. Beware: the plugs (connecting the unit to the vehicle) on the back of the headlight units are different. You would need to exchange the different plugs (between the HID and halogen units) and splice some wires. If you need the instructions, call me @ 652-1907. I'll be here today (4 Aug) until 2300. After today, call me @ 325-5501. These numbers will be deleted in 3 days from this thread.
