To restore or not to restore..

So I have an early production 240z (800's) that was basically free, and mostly complete.

However it has considerable rust issues, and will need a full "frame off" to get to all of the rust. It has a previous bad bondo/repaint that is undoubtedly hiding more horrors.
question is should I put the effort into restoring it or dump it and look for one with "less" rust?

few picture since they make every thread better

The real questions are:

Do the work your self or farm it out?

Budget?

Time?

What is your skill level?

This would be over the head of someone who has never done any metal fab/body work but looks pretty straightforward for an old hand.

yes.... But it's a huge amount of work!!!!!!!!!! Choose wisely sometimes cheap isn't the best route, I'd make that a parts car and find a good one.

Indeed bodywork is not my strong point.
And after further inspection the rust is far worse than i thought, so I'm leaning towards finding something less rusty now.
