Msa I-5 Caravan 4/22

The MSA show is in less than a month and there has been interest in getting a caravan organized. Maybe a group entry in the show as well? Anybody intersted?

I'm definitely down. Let me know about the group registration, cuz I'll hold off on doing it alone if we are.

I don't think there is a deadline. They mainly want people to pre-reg so they have an idea how many people to expect. Who was the one to mention that there might be a group discount? They should contact MSA and find out what's up with that, cuz I wanna hurry up and get the arrangements over with so I can relax.

We are working on a caravan from the Sacramento area heading down I-5 and, depending the route the Bay Area people are taking can hook up at the Westly rest stop (just south of Tracy) or at Santa Nella (Andersons Pea Soup) for those coming out of the South Bay.

There is also a group that will be trailering their cars and are setting up a different caravan due to the difference in legal speed allowed.

At present all I can say at this time is to frequent all of the z sites so that we can get a handle on this early and hopefully make it succesful.

As far as the group entry to be able to park together is concerned, I spoke to MSA last week and was told that to be parked together, a group or club has to come in (the morning of the show) together.

Last year we had a caravan that left Lodi @ 7:30, and with a couple of stops and hit Los Angeles a little after 12:00 noon ----- but it took 3 more hours to get to Anaheim. I am checking out an alternate route that takes the 210 thru Pasadena to the 57 and then down to Anaheim. I know its a longer distance but may be faster timewise.

If NorCal leaves around 6am-ish, we ought to arrive in time for the morning rush to be over.

I'll split a room for sure. However, I might hang with some friends in Riverside on Fri night, so I might crash there that night. So there's a chance I may only need to stay at the hotel for Saturday night. I'll keep you posted.

Well... Unless a miracle happens, the ZX won't be ready for the MSA show...

Mine and my paint and body guys attention to detail continues to stymie my project deadline... It was supposed to be finished on April 4th in order to get the rest of the interior and cosmetic work done and I still have to put in the 3.545 LSD.

Unfortunately, the 240z isn't ready to go either. I may end up driving down in the truck or probably the Honda with $2.50/gal gas...

At least my trailer will have new lights, tires, brakes, tire rack and a nice shiny new paint job.
