T5 is weak as ****, would be more worthwhile to go with a 71C swap

Z31 only came with a VLSD in the SS cars, and those need special axles

please do more research.

To bad I want the T5. I have my reasons.

Er Its been awhile sense I looked into it. Technically Nismo still owes me an LSD for selling the one I asked him to grab for me!

But I'm looking for the bolt in LSD R200 from the Z31

Doh... I will never live that one down eh?

Yeah, you want the CLSD. The viscous R200 doesn't engage as well as the clutch type. Plus, if you want, you can rebuild the clutch w/ more plates.

Or just go hog wild and build a Frankenstein hybrid CLSD setup like PontiacKid...

I don't have a CLSD, I've got a shimmed VLSD from a Z32. I love the way mine locks up, but it's WAY aggressive and acts like a welded most of the time lol

and the Z31 CLSD's are way overrated, for the price you pay for those pieces of **** that are worn out (that you have to take apart to replace the clutches in anyways) you might as well just buy a used 1.5/2 way for a 240SX and bolt that **** into your 3.9 case and keep all your gear ratios as stock, but if you come across a good deal on a Z31 diff then go for it.

2ways are wicked fun... but do the 240sx carriers have the same spline count as the 280zx R200?

You can swap in an OBX helical LSD...they're only $400. Just ensure it's not put together backwards (see hybridz.org for info). You only need the 10mm to 12mm bolt spacers ($34).

^^^ OBX is probably the most affordable if you know how to install carriers & adjust backlash, but I remember reading on HBZ that the build is quite inferior (then again... you get what you pay for).

Er I knew I forgot something. I meant to ask what bellhousing you have. Is it for an L28 or a VGDET?

I got a Z31 VLSD and CLSD for sale if you are interested

I got a Vlsd from a 1988 Z31 Shiro, I pick up the car not to long ago for restoration, but to find out the body was really bad rotted out so i took it apart and kept some parts, anyway i got a VLSD for 100 bucks plus S+H and a pretty much brand new nissan Clutch type LSD not a Nismo this one was for my pathfinder, in the end i sold the truck and installed this CLSD into my Z31 r200 housing, but then removed it due i got a sweet deal on a tomei lsd. this Nissan clsd asking price is 300 bucks plus S+H will post pics if requested
