Just found out my BCDD Deceleration valve is bad.

I'm a Z car technician for over 20 years I have three BCDD valves, i kept stored because they can no longer be bought at Nissan or anywhere for that matter.When they were available they cost a pretty penny. I''l sell one and shipped for $250. let me know if still looking.

 

^^^ For $250 it better be brand new, still in box, and wrapped in gold.

Yes they are new and the junk yard is so much cheaper.

 

Best price I found for new was $235.. I got one taken off a running car from a guy in Houston for $70..

I may still be looking for one guys..the guy in Houston has never responded back that he would ship it to me if I paid for the shipping.. So at this point I am still searching.. OI am thinking of selling this car so dont want to spend 2-300 for a new one..$100 max is my budget ..

The guy in Houston finally got back with me but it looks like his is a earlier Z model to me . My 83 looks different.. dont know if he has a 83 or not waiting on him to get back.

 

I am still looking for a 82 83 BCDD ..not looking to retro fit the old stlye (77-81 set up.. THANKS GUYZ !!

That doesnt look like mine Nismo..I think that is the earlier style I THINK they changed it in 82's & 83's.. I can send a photo of my bcdd mounted and taken off I have a pic of both. I found a local guy that is looking thru his storage shed for one ..

Hi Cary, i found a good used BCDD valve in my stock of Z parts if still looking. You are correct that the one nismo showed in the pic is the earlier type. The one i have is for 1982/1983 Zx cars.

 

I have located a couple of used ones over the last few weeks but they arent much less than a new one I located. As I mentioned in a earlier post being still unemployed I was hoping to find a used one for a reasonable price or just get a new one.

Like i said i found a good used 1983 BCDD valve. I'm asking $160 shipped. The new on i mentioned in an earlier tread, i'm keeping as a spare for my car.Let me know if you need it shipped.

 

Why don't you try these guys first? You could buy the entire manifold or just ask them for the BCDD...

Guess I should have,, Most people probably dont take it off the Mani..Most people I talk to didnt even know what it BCDD was or ever heard of it a few did..I had to explain its mounted to the bottom of the manifold and most still couldnt get it.. Hell I been waiting for a parts car to pop up they are usually 500-700 around here.. but nothing yet.

That is the best price so far for just the BCDD valve itself. I see some wrecking yards are selling the whole manifold that MAY have the BCDD on it for 75$ -$100.. If I can find that is about my budget.. IF not I will get in touch with you soon.. I need to get the car going again its been down a month looking for this part in my budget. THANKS AGAIN

Well i tried, but i cannot compete with nismo wrecking yard list. But I'm still thanking the great I am for the bread on my table. Peace to all i may never meet in this life and the Great I am knows and sees all. Thanks Cary for your response.

 

^^^ Hopefully selling Z parts isn't what puts bread on your table...

No one likes paying inflated prices (i.e. I'm sure you don't like paying $4/gal for gas right now )... and there's no need to pay a high price when Z parts are still readily available all over the USA.

 

Found one off a 83 intake from a Salvage/Dismantle yard Albany Georgia ..Below my budget ! $45 + $15 to ship with 30 day warrenty..
THANKS AGAIN to Both of you guys NISMO & ZEN for helping me with this learning experience... I have a few Z parts(79-83) if you guys need some thing or a question .. Now back to looking for a parts car or 2 in my area..

I thought this thred was done done Zen.. I bought a complete 83 parts car but figured out it actually runs good needs a EFI computer ..may just roll it now..instead..let me get a little list together of spare parts I dont have alot now that it looks like my parts car may be a seller..
